After a fire left much of the apartments at 1916 Bruce Street unlivable, the building received a complete makeover in 2018. Originally called the "Lasley's College Apartments," these apartments were built in 1947, reflecting the growth of Conway after World War II. This 8-unit, 6,400 SF apartment building is a historic preservation rehabilitation project. During the renovation, Salter Construction's team braced the exterior walls and removed the roof. The interior was completely gutted and rebuilt from the inside, leading to what is pictured today for the Bruce Street Apartments.
